When you begin classes at NDU, you will receive your user ID and password from the library via your NDU email, or email of record.
Your library account is used to place holds and renew physical items from the library. This account is not used to access online databases, journals and ebooks.
To access your library account go to Library Catalog, click Log In at the top of the page. Here you can view, renew, or place a hold on an item(s). You will need your User ID and PIN. Follow the instructions below and contact the library if you need assistance.
User ID
Students: Your User ID is the same as your BlackBoard username, up to 20 characters and in ALL CAPS. Example: FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME
Faculty and Staff: Your User ID is the first 20 characters of your NDU email address (excluding suffixes like .ctr, .civ, .mil) and in ALL CAPS. Example: FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME
Change PIN
The default PIN for new users is: changeme. To change your library account PIN:
- Log in to your library account
- Click My Account
- Under Change PIN, enter a new PIN and click Update
