Your NDU badge serves as your library card.
Students, Faculty & Staff
NDU students, faculty and staff use their NDU badge to borrow materials. Most students and faculty are automatically added to the library system. NDU users without an account can quickly be added to borrow materials.
Interns, Contractors & non-U.S. Government Employees
DoD policy requires interns, contractors and non-U.S.government employees to retain an NDU Employee Sponsor to borrow materials. Complete and return the Proxy Borrowing Authentication Form to the library. Processing can take up to 24 hours. Any NDU employee can be a sponsor.
Visitors
Government civilian employees, U.S. military members and scholars can request access to use our print collections by completing the Library Visit Request Form. Foreign visitors must contact their Embassy's military attaché to request access through DIA's Embassy and Consulate Services.
Access to the Ike Skelton Library in Norfolk is open to members of the Fleet Forces Command, Joint Staff, Marine Corps Headquarters Command and NATO.
